Earlwood

A leafy residential oasis in the inner-west, Earlwood is an up-and-coming suburb that’s been a hidden gem for years. The shopping centre is located on Homer Street, 500 metres up the hill from Bardwell Park railway station. A Coles supermarket and shops are also located in nearby Clarke Street. Earlwood has a number of restaurants and cafes scattered amongst the retail outlets, including Greek, Thai many other European establishments. There are plenty of of lush parks, many of which have playgrounds and off-leash dog areas. The Cooks River is a hive of activity, with locals running, walking and riding their bikes.

The site of the current KFC outlet was at one time the home of former prime minister John Howard whose parents operated two fuel outlets in neighbouring Dulwich Hill.
